Demetra Simpson-Sarr, RN, BSN, CCM
My name is Demetra Simpson‑Sarr, RN, BSN, CCM, a Registered Nurse Delegator and DSHS Community Instructor with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
I began my healthcare career in 2001 as a Certified Nursing Assistant in my hometown hospital. I later completed the Licensed Practical Nurse program at Union County College in New Jersey, then earned my Registered Nurse degree from Lower Columbia College in Longview, Washington.
After becoming an RN, I went on to complete my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Bellevue College in Bellevue, Washington. I am also a Board‑Certified Case Manager (CCM), bringing advanced expertise in medically complex care, coordination, and advocacy.
my experience:
My healthcare background includes acute hospital care, hospice & in-home care, insurance, managed clinical care review, long-term care, and primary care.
In the past, I have been licensed as a foster parent and worked as an Individual provider contracted with the state of Washington.
Over the years I have developed a passion for keeping loved ones out of institutions to live at home.
My passion has now led me to be able to offer my knowledge and skill set to individuals that provide care that allow people to live in a home setting.
I use my organizational skills and detailed oriented mindset to work as a team to support care providers.
